Bio: Amal holds a PhD in curriculum and has occupied several positions during her 30+ year experience at UNRWA. She worked as deputy chief of education from 2018-2021 and head of the education development center from 2006-2018. In her position at the development center, she was responsible for all in-service programs in teaching, leadership, school quality assurance, and mental health. Amal’s interests include health education, inclusive education, psychosocial support, human rights and gender issues. Amal holds a PhD in curriculum, a master’s in curriculum, a BS in biology, and a diploma in child rights and class management from Lund University, Sweden.
